SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 – the next generation of compact PLCs

The new generation of SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 offers significant improvements in performance, flexibility and digitalization, meeting the modern requirements in industrial automation.

The controllers provide faster data processing and higher scalability, integrated safety functions and precise motion control for dynamic applications. In addition, they support better data transparency and cybersecurity, in accordance with the IEC 62443 standard.

The transition to the new generation is facilitated by the high compatibility with the TIA Portal and existing systems, which ensures a smooth migration with minimal effort.

The G1 generation will be gradually phased out after November 2026.
