BTicino Living Now – Switches and Sockets with Distinctive Design and Smart Home Features

The Living Now range from Italian manufacturer BTicino, part of the Legrand Group, combines clean design, a wide range of functions and intelligent control capabilities for residential and public buildings. It includes solutions suitable for every project - from conventional electrical installations to connected systems that enable automated and remote control of lighting, electric shutters and various other devices.

One of the distinguishing features of Living Now is its flat surfaces and precisely aligned switch rockers. Full Touch technology allows the switch to be operated by pressing any part of the rocker - at the centre, top or bottom. The patented Self Centering System ensures that the rocker returns to its original position after each press.

Floating Frame is another technology used in the Living Now range. It provides a better fit against the wall through a flexible element at the back of the decorative cover plate, which compensates for surface irregularities and inaccuracies in the positioning of installation boxes. Living Now has received an Honourable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro ADI Awards – the world's oldest, most authoritative and prestigious industrial design award.

The range includes decorative cover plates made from technopolymer, Zamak metal alloy and natural wood, including oak and walnut finishes. The different colours and finishes allow electrical installation devices to be matched to the interior design.

The product range includes switches, push buttons, socket outlets, dimmers, shutter controls, USB charging modules, RJ45 and TV/SAT outlets, thermostats and specialised devices, including touchless switches. Various modular configurations, mounting supports and decorative cover plates are available. This allows mechanisms to be selected according to the technical requirements of each project while maintaining a consistent design.

Living Now with Netatmo extends the capabilities of conventional electrical installations through connected devices that communicate wirelessly using Zigbee technology and a central gateway. The Home + Control app enables remote control of lighting, shutters and connected socket outlets, as well as the creation of customised scenarios and schedules. Voice control is also supported through compatible Apple, Google and Amazon voice assistants.With the appropriate devices installed and configured, the system enables electricity consumption monitoring, notifications of certain faults and electrical load management. 

Additional wireless switches can be installed easily without the need for control wiring. However, specific power supply and installation requirements must be observed when installing wired connected mechanisms. For projects requiring more complex building automation, the Living Now range also offers solutions compatible with MyHome and KNX systems.
