FILKAB Engineering Invests in a New Machine for Processing Copper and Aluminium Busbars
As part of its ongoing modernization and process optimization efforts, FILKAB Engineering commissioned a new machine for cutting and drilling copper and aluminium busbars. The investment contributes to the development of our manufacturing capacity and targets one of the key stages in the production of electrical panels, transformer substations and switchgear assemblies.
Busbars are among the key components in this type of electrical equipment. The accuracy of their machining directly affects the quality of the electrical connections, the safety of the equipment, and its service life. Therefore, busbar preparation is a production stage to which we dedicate extra care and attention.
Enhanced Precision in the Preparation of Busbar Systems
When a busbar system is manufactured, cutting and drilling must be carried out with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability. This is very important for the subsequent assembly process, where the position of the holes and the geometry of the individual components must match precisely.
With the new machine, busbar cutting and drilling are performed at a single workstation, which allows us to reduce the number of manual operations and to shorten the time required to prepare the components.
Individual Orders and Series Production
The new equipment is capable of processing both copper and aluminium busbars across a wide range of cross-sections. This gives FILKAB Engineering the flexibility to handle both one-off orders and series production.
In series production, machine processing helps maintain consistent geometry and accuracy across the individual components of the busbar system. For tailor-made products, the advantage is different - quicker and more precise execution, with the processing adapted to the individual requirements of the specific design.
