Meeting between members of BASEL, GBCIC and representatives of industrial companies from the Plovdiv region

On 02.09.2021 FILKAB AD represented by Mr. Atanas Tanchev - CEO of the company and regional representative of BASEL for Plovdiv District hosted a meeting between members of BASEL, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and representatives of local industrial companies. On behalf of BASEL, in addition to Mr. Tanchev, the meeting was attended by the CEO of the organization Mr. Orlin Dimitrov and Mrs. Blagovesta Shineva - regional representative of BASEL for Stara Zagora District.

The German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was represented by Dr. Mariana Cholakova - Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Plovdiv and the region of the consular district and manager of the chamber’s Plovdiv office.

During the meeting the activity of the company - host FILKAB AD was presented, as well as the directions of work of BASEL in 2021. During the presentations the priorities of the two chambers in the current conditions of crisis and the opportunities for interaction through specialized committees and councils were discussed.

Mrs. Cholakova presented the main priorities of the work of GBCIC, the opportunities to support companies in the electrical industry in entering the German market, as well as the services of the PR company SOL COMMUNICATIONS managed by her. The potential for joint work between the specialized commissions of GBCIC and BASEL was also discussed.

In the process of discussions, the advantages of the dual education and the opportunities for finding staff, full use of the scientific potential and intellectual experience of BAS and the institutes, cooperation in the field of standardization and certification were put on the agenda. The companies exchanged ideas for dealing with a number of pressing issues related to supplies and logistics, rising raw material prices and production costs.
