25 years later, we continue to offer quality to the electrical market
FILKAB was founded in 1999 as a successor to the activities of several smaller companies trading in cables and electrical materials. Over time, the activity grew and several trade centers were opened on the territory of Bulgaria, as well as subsidiaries in North Macedonia and Serbia. In addition to the distribution and trade of electrotechnical products, the company also creates subsidiaries in which it develops production and design activities.
Our company "Engineering" EAD manufactures MV transformer substations, MV complete switchgears (Switchgear) under license of Schneider Electric, LV switchboards for distribution and protection, control and monitoring, etc. We have our own modernly equipped workshops for the production of metal products from sheet material, a powder coating line, production of concrete products, as well as a factory laboratory for high-voltage tests and functional tests of equipment. In the same company, the construction of the electrical systems of industrial and infrastructure sites, connections to the electricity distribution network and LV, MV and HV cable lines are carried out.
In the group, we also have a company engaged in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of photovoltaic projects - "FILKAB Solar" OOD. We have built tens of megawatts as the main contractor or as a subcontractor of the electrical part of projects in the territory of Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey and Hungary.
At the end of 2021, the FILKAB family increased by another member. In December, the company "FILKAB FS" OOD was established. Its activity is aimed at the complete implementation of projects for the construction of fire extinguishing and fire alarm installations, in accordance with the highest standards and the latest market trends in this area.
In the same year 2021, we decided to create a new project company - "FEC Orizari" EOOD. Thanks to the accumulated serious experience with the built over 500 MW photovoltaic power plants in Bulgaria and abroad, we decided that it is time to invest our energy and knowledge in the construction of our own photovoltaic project. The photovoltaic plant that we are already building has a total installed capacity of 18 MW, and the total investment is BGN 25.8 million.
In the years of our development, we at FILKAB and the group of companies have established excellent business relations with many reputable Bulgarian and European manufacturers, which gives us the opportunity to provide products and service with a guarantee of high quality and reliability of the products. The high quality of the products, their security and reliable service are the main criteria in our selection of new suppliers. Our goal is not to compromise with these criteria in order to adequately meet the growing demands of our customers.
